About Doug Conover

Douglas Conover graduated from Indiana University (Bachelor of Arts, Political Science) in 1978. He attended DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois, where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1981, and was admitted to the Illinois bar in November of that year.

 

After graduation from law school, he was a Trust Officer with American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, where he worked in the Trust Special Assets Division and the Corporate Trust Division, where he gained valuable experience in managing family businesses owned by trusts and estates.

 

From 1987 to 1991, he practiced law with larger Chicago law firms, then practiced with Rieck and Crotty, P.C. from August 1991 until June 2014. Doug formed his own firm in June 2014. 

 

Doug is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and its committees on Business Law, Real Property, Asset Protection, and Trust Law.

 

Doug is active in various professional and civic organizations. He serves as a trustee of the Indiana Society of Chicago and its affiliated scholarship foundation, and was President of the ISOC for two years. He is an active member and officer of the Elliott Donnelley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Doug served as a member of the Board of Managers of his condominium association and was its president for ten years. 

 

Doug’s interests include fly fishing, golf, bicycling, skiing, Indiana University basketball, history, music, nature, cooking, and travel. Doug is conversant in French.

 

The Law Offices of Douglas Conover LLC is a member of LawPact, the international association of independent business law firms.  Doug has served on its board of directors since its formation in June 2001 and has been the President since 2003.
